Soap!!!

Okay! I have finally gotten around to making a small batch of Frankincense and Myrrh scented soap. This soap is great for dry skin and about 45% of the soap is Shea butter.

Ingredients used: Lye, Shea Butter, Olive Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Grape Seed Oil and Vegetable Oil!

ENJOY!

Where has the time gone?

WOW! I did not realize how long it has been since I have signed into my blog! School has defiantly kept me pretty busy, especially all the essay I have had to write and finally working on my last on. It is a research paper on Animal Cruelty and has to be 5-6 pages long and hopefully I will have the rough draft done by tuesday afternoon.

I still have not gotten around to making my batch of soap, but hopefully I will get around to it before the end of Summer approaches.

Here are some pics of my little chihuahua babies at 9 weeks old.

The Puppies Are Here!

Okay, so at 5:30 Mia started pushing and by 6pm we had the 1st puppy born that was a black female. Very shortly after (like 10 min later) we had the 2nd puppy which was also a female but, black and brown colored. Then , after puppy number 2 was born we had to wait two hours on baby number 3, which, by the way, was a black male who was born around 9pm. Then the wait was on for what we thought would be baby #4. The next day I took Mia to the vet, as we had seen a sac of what we thought was puppy #4 but it just kept going back inside. When we arrived at the vet they gave her an Oxytocin injection to restart contractions. Once the Oxytocin did not work they were to perform a c-section. Upon c-section, about an hour later, I received a call from the doctor about his findings. He stated that there were no extra puppies but she did in fact have some type of blisters/plagues/growths ll over her uterus and suggested that it be removed immediately. Upon picking Mia up at the vet, her doctor came out, with her uterus in his hand contained in a plastic bag, to show me the unusual blisters/growths/plagues that he had found. He then said the best way he could describe how it looked upon examination after removal was like mold---and in fact it did. However, he stated he had seen nothing like it before and said if nothing else that it WAS GODS will for me to of brought her in for a c-section or else it could of been life threatening later on down the road for her.
Now, here are some pictures of the precious puppies that were born on the anniversary of my Sweet Angel Bambina's death.

Mia

Okay, so about 2 months ago Mia went into heat and we kept an eye on her, as we wanted puppies. Once she went out of heat we were a little disappointed because we had thought none of the 3 boys had gotten to her----well needless to say WE WAS WRONG! On Sunday (1-16-011) night we noticed she started to act lazy and sick--not her usual wild, crazy, destructive self. As I picked her up Mike seen her belly and said she looked pregnant because her belly was fat, and her nipples were enlarged. So the next morning I called the vet to verify with an ultrasound and it has been confirmed that she is prego with 4 babies, possibly a 5th and hopefully she dont have any extra ones hiding behind the others. The vet expects her to go into labor within a week and a half. It has now been a week and we are still waiting on the litter to be born. I am excited and cant wait! Here are a few pictures of her being lazy--I would of posted the ultrasound pics and video but my vet is having a hard time getting them on a cd---so that might not happen, but if it does, I will definatley post them.

UPDATE

Okay, so I know I have not been on in a good while but I plan on making a batch of soap and posting it here, hopefully by the end of February.I am currently a new student enrolled at TriCounty Technical College and majoring in Associate Degree Nursing so I will not have  much time to make all my goodies on a regular basis. However, I will definitely continue to post at least once a month. By the way, here are some pictures of my front yard after the snow storm that hit this past week.
